Local 700 Sends Letter to Cook County President Preckwinkle Urging Quick Implementation of "Me Too" Grievance Agreement

Communications
Last month, the Cook County Board of Commissioners officially approved the agreement resolving the "me too" grievances, delivering significant retroactive raises to thousands of Local 700 members at the county. Now, Cook County must implement this agreement at once, retroactively increasing wages by 3.5% and compensating our members with the back pay we are rightfully owed.
Today, Teamsters Local 700 sent a letter to Cook County President Toni Preckwinkle urging her administration to implement this agreement immediately and to prioritize Teamsters Local 700 members as retroactive raises and back pay are delivered. Please see a full copy of the letter below.
Rest assured that while this has been a several year effort, we will never stop fighting for our collective bargaining rights and for the compensation our membership is rightfully owed.
