Teamsters Local 700 extends its congratulations to Danny Maldonado, a dedicated union steward at the Illinois Tollway, on his recent re-election victory as a Westchester Park District Commissioner. This achievement is a testament to his commitment to public service, community development, and leadership shown by Danny and all members of Local 700
Danny has long been a champion for his community. A lifelong Illinoisan, he has called Westchester home for years, bringing passion and dedication to his job and his community. His early experiences, from his time with the Boy Scouts of America to his leadership roles with the Puerto Rican Parade Committee of Chicago and the Puerto Rican Chamber of Commerce, have shaped him into the dynamic leader he is today. As a union steward, Danny has tirelessly represented his fellow Teamsters, advocating for their rights and standing up for the values of solidarity and fairness that are the foundation of our union.

His extensive experience in community organizing and leadership has earned him roles on various boards and committees, including the Metropolitan Leadership Institute of Chicago and the Labor Council for Latin American Advancement.
In his role as a Westchester Park District Commissioner, Danny will continue his legacy of service, bringing his passion for community growth and collaboration to new heights. His continued success is a reflection of his dedication and commitment to making his community a better place for all. Congratulations, Danny – we look forward to seeing all the great work you will continue to do!
