Although this certification is commendable, there is NO MENTION of the hard-working, dedicated members that risk life and limb to respond to hazardous weather conditions year-round.

Williams. “The sacrifices made by each and every one of you are a true testament to your dedication and service. You are essential first responders without question, and we celebrate you all."

In the article, the Tollway brags about deploying 196 snowplows in the winter, 24-hour Hot Weather Patrols in the Summer, a 24/7/365 Emergency Traffic Operations Center, and more.

Teamsters Local 700 would like to remind the IL Tollway that these bragging rights would not be possible without the skills and experience of our members.

Will Management bring those much-deserved accolades to the bargaining table this week as they meet with Local 700 to negotiate important matters affecting the contract?

Or, will they continue to take all the credit in the national media while neglecting to mention the REAL heroes on the front lines?
