In Memoriam: Christopher “Tracta” Trailor

On February 5, 2021, a beautiful, sunny winter’s day, the funeral service for Chris “Tracta” Trailor was held at the Lighthouse Church of All Nations. Chris was a member of Local 700, the National Black Caucus, and was a former organizer for the Teamsters Joint Council No. 25.

An outpouring of support was shown for Brother Trailor, who was treasured by many and considered a great father and uncle, a sympathetic friend, and a supportive colleague.

The service consisted of a projected slide show, musical selections, a dance piece, and gospel readings. His family, his neighborhood friends, and many of his colleagues shared their memories of Chris, giving tribute to his humor, positive attitude, and warmth.

Over 300 friends and family were in attendance that day. Brother Chris will be greatly missed. His spirit will live on forever in the hearts of the many people whose lives he touched.

Stay Strong. Stay Safe. Stay United.

“Chris wanted to encourage people to get full bloodwork and colonoscopies at the doctor. It was too late for him, but make your appointment and post on social media using #ChrisGotMe and #ChrisGotMeToTheDoctor. Let’s see how many Chris can save.” —The friends and family of Christopher Trailor
