Last month, another JTDC staffer was brutally attacked by residents. Business Agent Rosalind Tennent and General Council Natasha Jenkins are aggressively pursuing a grievance with the employer on behalf of JTDC staffers. Teamsters have also met with the employer to address the growing concerns for our members at risk in the JTDC regarding Covid-19. Yet, the employer continues to ignore the peril that JTDC staffers face daily. We are reaching out to you to take action by participating in the JTDC Workplace Safety Survey. The survey asks questions relating to staffers’ experiences at work, from physical threats to emotional effects resulting from the current JTDC environment. The responses to this short questionnaire will give us hard data to help in our fight with the employer. Our primary goal is to develop safety measures to best protect members and residents of the JTDC. We hope that you will participate by clicking this link or visiting https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/JTDCSAFETY to help us help you during this very difficult time. Stay Safe. Stay Strong. Stay United.
