Cheryl Comb has been appointed as the Teamsters Local 700 Chief Steward for the Cook County Clerks bargaining unit, effective immediately. The position became vacant after longtime Chief Steward Nancy Justiniano was hired as a Local 700 business agent.
“First and foremost I want to thank my long time friend Nancy Justiniano for all of your help and always being there for me,” said Teamsters Local 700 Business Agent Rosalind Tennent. “I chose Cheryl to take the vacant position of Chief Steward because everyone knows how hard she has worked as a steward and to represent her co-workers. I expect that she will bring the same strength, passion, loyalty and dedication to her new assignment as Chief Steward. Please join me in welcoming her.”
Cheryl has been a Clerk of the Circuit Court of Cook County for 29 years. She was a proud member of Teamsters Local 714 before the inception of Local 700 and has been a steward since 2010.
“I want to thank Roz for the opportunity to represent the people who I consider to be my work family,” said Cheryl. “I will continue to dedicate myself to build the loyalty and trust that you have all come to expect from me.”
