Diahann Goode, a longtime steward of the Cook County Department of Corrections, has been appointed as a Trustee of the Teamsters Local 700 Benevolent Fund. The Local 700 Executive Board unanimously appointed Diahann to the role after a vacancy arose on the committee.
“I am excited to be part of the Benevolent Fund committee and look forward to helping the membership in this capacity,” said Diahann. “The Fund has helped so many public employees in need during times of uncertainty and I am honored to be part of such a charitable cause.”
Diahann also serves as a Cook County Pension Board Trustee and is the President of the Teamsters Joint Council 25 Women’s Committee.
The Benevolent Fund Trustees will be selling raffle tickets to benefit the Fund at the next General Membership Meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 5. Tickets will be sold for $1 each and the grand prize is an Amazon Echo Show. All proceeds will go to the Local 700 Benevolent Fund.
“Please come and buy tickets to support your fellow Teamsters and public employees,” said Diahann.
