The Department of Finance will be sending out indebtedness notices this week to all City of Chicago employees that owe money to the City. Attached to this email is a copy of the notice and the compliance sheet that you will receive from your employer this week if you owe money to the City.
The deadline to pay and show proof of payment with the City is Friday, July 12 by 3 p.m. If you do not pay or show proof of payment by the due date, you can face suspension.
The Department of Finance has made a change in their policy for VOLUNTARY WAGE DEDUCTION (VPD). An employee cannot enter into a VPD if they owe for parking tickets or water. VPDs will only be for Administrative Hearing tickets over $500. Employees that would like to enroll in a VPD for an Administrative Hearing ticket of $500 and over must do so by Monday, July 8.
