Teamsters Local 700 Business Agent Rosalind Tennent has been appointed Trustee of the Teamsters Local 700 Executive Board. She was sworn into the role by President Becky Strzechowski during the Feb. 13 General Membership Meeting.
Rosalind worked as a Cook County Court Services Deputy for 29 years and was the Local 700 Chief Steward for the bargaining unit in 2014. She joined the Local 700 staff in 2016 as a business agent, representing the Cook County Clerks.
“I am honored to be a Trustee and to serve on the Executive Board for my union,” said Rosalind. “Just like the oath states, I will always remember that it is the members who put me in this position and it is the members that I will serve.”
“Rosalind’s extensive union experience as a member, a steward and a business agent adds a unique perspective to the Executive Board,” said Secretary-Treasurer Michael G. Melone. “We are proud to add a strong Teamster sister to the Board and know she will fulfill her role with honor.”
